We are currently restoring a Symphonion Orchestrion with bells, known
as style 118Gl.  This type is illustrated in the Bowers Encyclopaedia
on page 233, top.  The instrument plays 70 cm (27-1/2") discs.

Unfortunately, the glass door at the front is missing; the only clue
to its original appearance being the thumb-nail photo in Bowers, and
a contemporary engraving from the catalogue of Reiner, Pelzer & Co. of
Cologne (their style 444).  From this it is not possible to determine
the shading and gilding originally used.

I wondered if there were any MMDers out there with a similar or identical
instrument who would be kind enough to take pictures or tracings of the
original lettering, so that it can be accurately reproduced?  Any
expense incurred would of course be gratefully reimbursed.
