On November 4th the University of Maryland Libraries cordially invite
people to Celebrate the Dedication of a Major Gift to the Performing
Arts Library.

MECHANICAL MUSICAL MARVELS: ART & INDUSTRY IN THE
HOWE COLLECTION OF MUSICAL INSTRUMENT LITERATURE

At 4:00 p.m. the collector speaks at Joseph and Alma Gildenhorn Recital
Hall.  From 5:00-6:30 p.m. there will be an exhibition in the
Performing Arts Library Gallery.

I thought at first this was just by invitation only but if those
interested will call FRIENDS OF THE LIBRARIES at 301-314-5674 or
emailjr160@umail.umd.edu.geentroep [ drop .geentroep to reply ]
and let them know your interest, they will print name tags for those
who come.

I personally hope to see a good turn out from the Washington, DC metro
area.
