Disklavier Piano e-Competition MIDI Files
By Peter Phillips

As Terry Smythe points out, some 26 files can be downloaded from the
Yamaha e-competition web site. However, there were actually 100 files
distributed as a result of the competition.

Each pianist performed a number of pieces, giving a total file size
per pianist of around 500 kb. I have them all, and would be happy to
burn a CD-ROM and send it to a local in the US, who could then perhaps
distribute them to others. I have developed a database in Excel, and
all the files I have are fully titled. There is also information about
some of the pianists. Files are grouped by pianist, but the database
can be set up in any order. The files for two pianists fit on a single
1.44 Mb floppy and there are 20 pianists in total, so you'll need 10
floppies or about 10 to 15 Mb on the hard drive.

So if someone would like to act as a local distributor of these files,
I'll send you a CD-ROM of all the files.
