Yamaha Disklavier Sustain Pedal Thumps
By John McClelland

Greetings all, We recently acquired a 5-foot Yamaha Disklavier grand
and are annoyed by the sustain pedal thump when playing at low volumes,
which I understand is a common problem with them.

I surfed the 'net several months ago and came across a suggested fix
using some type of synthetic closed-cell foam material; unfortunately
I did not mark the web page. Further searches for it have proven
fruitless. So I'm appealing to readers that may have some idea of
what I'm talking about and can identify the material and sources.

Thanks in advance.
