Weight of Old Upright Player Pianos
By John Dewey

I have weighed several players over the years and I believe that around
700 pounds will catch most upright players. I had one oak monstrosity
that was almost 900 pounds. I have a Kimball in my shop now that
weights 750 pounds.

Here are the weights of several old uprights that were given to the
Send-A-Piana-To-Havana program. These were not players but may help.

  Krakauer Bros. #29180: 610 lbs.
  Temple #96955: 570 lbs.
  Steinway #120297: 630 lbs.
  Wurlitzer #704150 (spinet): 430 lbs.
  Kohler & Campbell #8850 (spinet): 380 lbs.
  Mathushek #82876: 510 lbs.
  Ivers & Pond # 41401 670 lbs.
  Lakeside # 62916 600 lbs.
