Building a Gulbransen Stack
By Doug Anderson

Hi Folks, Has anyone ever looked into building Gulbransen stacks?
Are there plans or specs available?

I am picking up a 1920 Gulbransen with a glued stack that is not
working, and I am wondering if it would be easier to build a new one
rather than saw up the old one, and if I was going to build one I'd
probably build a couple extra since most of the time spent is typically
in the setup (from 30 years in woodworking).

From what I read there are probably a few Gulbransens out there with
glued stacks that someone has tried to restore and met with something
less than success, so maybe I could move a couple of new guaranteed
Gulbransen stacks that way or perhaps someone who has a lot more love
of mechanical music than time or woodworking expertise. Any comments?
