Ivory Transport & CITES Agreement
By Roger Waring

I apologise for returning to this subject, but having searched the MMD
Archives I find that the last reference to CITES was way back in 2000.
Does anyone know if the situation has been eased at all in the USA with
respect to pianos? I have a contact in the USA who wishes to transport
a 1909/1910 Aeolian from the UK to their home there. It is not yet
certain if the instrument does indeed have ivory keys but it seems
fairly probable. Clearly it is not yet 100 years old, so not antique.
Any thoughts, anyone?
