One possibility is that recipients have inadvertently punched the
block mail button without realizing they were blocking MMD. I have
done this myself with acceptable email accounts when the subject
looked like spam.

It has become especially easy to make this error with AOL 8 since
that version includes a button to block and notify AOL of spammers
without opening the mail.

[ Say! I didn't know of that mechanism. Here are some recent
[ rejection messages in the MMDigest "bounce messages" directory:
 [
[ ISP for Karl Ellison: "unauthorized relay traffic prohibited"
[ ISP for Marc Elbasani: "Rejected: [sending address] listed
 [ at inflow.noflow.org"
[ (That domain name sounds like constipation symptoms! ;-)
 [
 [ Thanks, Don.
