International Karakuri Contest A Huge Success
By Kazuo Murakami

Dear MMDers,

My article about the International Karakuri Contest was published in the
04.12.07 MMD, and some MMDers followed up with questions about the
event. That show of interest made us happy, and some MMDers actually
entered the contest.

The International Karakuri Contest closed at the end of May. The
officers of this event are still calculating the number of entries, but
we have over one hundred entries from foreign countries as it stands
now. We truly appreciate MMD and the interest shown. Thanks to all the
participants!

I will report to the MMD the final results of the contest.
