Dear MMDers,

Well, Rodney Diehl's contribution about collector profiles should bring
the lurkers out of the woodwork!  Neat idea.

I have two Ampicos: an upright Marque Ampico in a Foster piano, and a
Knabe Ampico A, modified by Tim Westman to play B rolls, utilizing some
of the 0-T and 0-B holes.

I probably fit several categories: Music lover (lots of overtures,
limited pop music; Gadget lover (yes, old cars and railroads too), and
Perfectionist, although at my age my ears are pretty forgiving.  The
good news is that I won't have to restore the pianos again, as I am
deteriorating at about the same rate as the pianos.
