Building An Electronic Band Organ
By Victor Searle

Hi, fellow members,

As you may have noticed, I recently joined the gang and have been
swamped with questions about my book which was printed in 1986 by Vestal
Press on building an electronic band organ. I know 500 copies were
sold (I got a nice royalty).

It used Devtronix electronic kits, and now that Devtronix is back in
business, there seems to be a multitude of fanatics like me who want to
get into the act. I am trying to figure out how to make new instruments
and have given a lot of information to my correspondents.

However there is one supplier I cannot locate. Does anyone know the
address of Justin Matters? He made about the best pipe chest magnet
valves that I could find, much easier (and cheaper) than Peterson,
Reisner, or Organ Supply. For a time he was also making organ pipes of
aluminum.

Incidentally, for those of you who have been beating the bushes to find
my book, it is "Building An Electronic Band Organ" (ISBN O-911572-52-X).
Several have already located it on inter-library loan, so if you are
interested, give that route a try.

I will be most happy to have my brains picked (what little I have after
my terrible traffic accident three years ago), as I am loafing around in
a resthome with nothing to do but answer your emails.

So, make my day!

Vic Searle
