Removing Pneumatics Secured with White Glue

I had some success today removing striker pneumatics, glued on with
Elmer's Glue, by laying folded and water-soaked paper towels across the
inside of the pneumatics, and letting them sit a bit, before applying
the hot iron. It seemed to drive some steam into the joint, which
helped.
