Duo-Art Pianos for Long-Play Jumbo Rolls
By Ray Bauer

Two solutions for jumbo Duo-Art rolls to fit and play in/on
a grand spool box:

1. Shave the spool ends on a lathe. The paper is then virtually
even with the spool ends.

2. Create divots on the bottom metal plate for the plastic spool
ends to fit into.

I did both on and for my Steck Duo-Art grand and my Steinway
Duo-Art grand. Upon getting the divot idea, I could forget about
shaving. The metal is soft enough that careful peening works nicely.

Best Regards to all and a Merry Christmas from Lake Tahoe, Calif.
