Mechanical Music Aboard Ships
By Steve Bentley

There were, I know of, many pianos aboard ships, including
warships of cruisers and battleship size. My question is how many
were self-playing instruments. Was Scott's Broadwood piano roll
operated? It appears hardly likely.

During my time at sea for 44 years, starting in the early 1950's,
I never encountered anything, although it was the wrong era for this.
