I have an Autopiano that came from a liner that was scuttled in the
1950's.  I got it from the people that bought it off the ship on it's
last voyage.  It's an "Export Model" and has a mission style quartered
oak case.  The pinblock has bolts going through to the back of the
piano and a few other features that I suppose were to make it a little
more substantial, not knowing where the thing might end up.

I showed the thing to an old piano guy a few years ago, and he just
said that since it was an "export model" they might have put bug
killer in the glue and treated the felt in some way, so his advice was
not to chew on my fingernails, etc., while restoring it!  It's a nice
piano though and I'll get to it one of these days.

I can't remember the name of the ship it was on, and I'm not even sure
if the folks I got it from told me.  If they did I would have written
it down and put it inside the piano.  It's not where I can get to it
right now.  I'm sure most of you understand the storage space
thing.
