Mechanical Music Aboard Ships
By John Farrell

Steve Bentley doubted if the Broadwood player on Scott's ship (the
Terra Nova, I believe) was operated. There is a sequence in the British
movie, "Scott of the Antarctic," showing a Broadwood instrument in
action while the ship is on its way to the land of ice, snow and
tragedy.

The events depicted in the film appear to have been very well researched
so perhaps this relatively minor scene can be taken as factual.
