Restoring a Celestina Organette
By Nicholas Simons

Henk, The winding shaft of the Celestina is removed by removing the
rod that = is fitted into the drilled hole in the shaft. This rod
interfaces with = either the snail cam machined into the end of the
crankshaft or, when = the handle is pulled out, turns the large pulley
that belt drives the = roll for rewind. The rod is a mild interference
fit in its hole and = should be tapped gently with a suitable punch and
hammer until it moves = and can be removed. The direction for movement
can be determined by the = taper.

With best wishes,
