Flute Clock Barrel Organ by Damian Dufner
By Craig Smith

I just acquired a barrel operated flute organ from tall case clock.
Unfortunately, the clock case is long gone, although the wood-works
clock itself is still there. I'm hoping to find someone else who
has a similar flute clock organ so that I can see the configuration
of the pipes. Most of the long pipes are missing from my organ so a
picture of a similar organ with pipes in place would be most helpful.

This organ was made by Damian Dufner around the mid-1800s. It has
92 pipes in 5 ranks. The front rank is 14 reed pipes with a set of
matching open flutes. The back rank is 25 closed flutes with a
matching set of open flutes (up one octave) and 14 tiny wood piccolos
matching the top 14 notes. It also has stops operated from ramp shaped
pins on the barrel.

If you have or know about a similar clock organ, please contact me.
Thanks for your help.
