Advantages of Phenoseal
By Pete Knobloch

It is true that Phenoseal does seal well, but there are places that it
should never be used. One example is sealing inside the chest where
the valve plates are.

I have seen two cases where the person literally poured Phenoseal
between each metal valve plate to seal off any leaks. This glued the
plates down so hard, that it took a heat gun to remove the plates to
re-leather the valves. Where the old goo pooled against the edge of the
metal valves, the next problem was putting the valves back into place
and getting the valve travel right.
