Women Enthusiasts of Mechanical Music
By Sue Wilbur

There's at least one more female mechanical music enthusiast: I own
a barrel organ (John Muzzio & Son) which plays 12 different tunes,
a player piano and a reproduction calliope. I am very much of an
amateur, but I love the sound from any of these vintage pieces and
I play them often.

Whenever my husband and I go somewhere where there's any type of
mechanical music instruments to be played, he just hands me a pocketful
of change and says, "Have fun!"

Many of the postings on this forum are advanced for me, but I'm learning
new things all the time. Now my grandkids are finding pleasure in
these wonderful machines.
