Ben and Mary Lilien Collection Disposal
By Michael Woolf

Sad to see on eBay currently two items I recognised from the collection
of my dear late friends, Ben and Mary Lilien. The on-line photographs
show the instruments in their places in the beautiful home above Culver
City, California.

The Wurlitzer 125 stood in their kitchen area and Ben would always ask
visitors to be especially quiet so that they could hear the delicate
sounds! The barrel organ was near the fireplace in their wonderful
home which they opened for charities and for hospitality.

I hope these pieces will find good homes and serve as remembrances of
their wonderful previous owners. If ever there was a collection made
with love ...
