I have a few of the small musical boxes that almost fit in the palm
of your hand: about 40 teeth and 4 tunes.

The best acoustic "amplifier" is a door made of that thin plywood.
If your lecture room has one anywhere, press the feet of the box
firmly against the door.  You will be amazed at the sound, especially
the bass, from that small comb.
