Previously I wrote about the new Stahnke LX solenoid player system
that I installed in a Chickering piano in my California home.
I promised to report progress.

I am so thrilled with the performance of this system that
I found it difficult to move (for the winter) to my second home in
Washington state.  How could I be without the perfect reproductions
I had come to expect?

Problem solved: I took advantage of the ailing economy to buy
a largely restored Weber grand on eBay for a very good price.
The piano was delivered and a second LX system is on the way.
I should have it installed within a couple of weeks.

I can't wait to hear Glen Gould's Bach Goldberg variations (1955)
which was just released as an LX CD. I left California a day before
it arrived so I had to buy another piano to hear it in Washington :)
