Raffin 31er Scale vs. Carl Frei 20er Scale
By Wallace Venable

I've been working with Carl Frei scale 20-note music rolls. In both
cases, as seen by the organ grinder, the rolls move from left to right
and the bass notes are located on the back (grinder's) side of the organ.
I have Gamma files for use with Midiboek, everything fits together, and
I've produced and played some Smith format rolls from the printouts.

I'm looking at a project based on the "Raffin 31" scale. The Midiboek
Gamma files I have found appear to be set up so that, as seen by the
organ grinder, the rolls move from left to right but the bass notes
are located toward the _front_ side of the organ. Is this correct?
