Passing of Josef Raffin of Überlingen, Germany
By Uwe Gernert

Hello, Jody and Robbie, sad to hear, but Josef Raffin from Ueberlingen,
Germany died a few days ago. Here is my short obituary.

On February 26th, 2020, the well-known organbuilder Josef Eduard Raffin
from Ueberlingen, Germany, died at the age of 87 years. Since the
nineteen-seventies he built crank organs in different sizes and makes
which were sold to more than 30 countries. His passion for his work
showed in the perfection of his organs and their distinctive sound which
is well-known over the world.

I wish the Raffin family all the best for the future and that their
business will continue to grow! This also was and would be the intention
of Josef. His family can be thankful for that founder and surely will
honour the work of his lifetime.

May he rest in peace!

Uwe Gernert
