GE Silicone Rubber For Rebuilding a Pianola
By Randolph Herr

I think that GE Silicone Rubber (Type 1) is a fabulous product.
I have never used, or even seen, any RTV (room temperature vulcanizing)
product sold as an adhesive. My experience has been that GE Silicone
Rubber Type 1 sticks to wood yet comes off easily when you want it to.
As for removing it from glass, a razor blade never fails to do a
perfect job.

I noticed that Andy Hood is in the UK, and he may have access to
different products from the US. Robbie is right about making sure
we are talking about the same products. I suggest you try GE Type 1
silicone rubber and do tests so you will know its characteristics.
