GE Silicone Adhesive
By Ken Schweim

I would like to get a little more info on the GE silicone adhesive
recommended by Randolph Herr, posted on MMD 10/20/05. I did look at
the site posted by Randolph and they gave a list of vendors that have
the product. I went to our local vendor (Home Depot) and found GE
Silicone rubber #1, but it's description is "bathroom caulk, available
in clear and white." Is there more than one GE Silicone Rubber #1?

I did test a patch of my bellows material on a piece of wood and it
sticks rather well but I can also remove it easily. However, in all
fairness, I just attached one edge of the cloth to a piece of wood
which gives the best possible removing option. I suspect if I had
the cloth completely glued down it would have been more difficult to
remove.

But back to the basic question: Is the "bathroom caulk" the same stuff
that Randolph used?
