Guillotine Pipe Cutter Cuts Large Rubber Hose
By Pat DeWitt

Hi All, I was cutting the new twill covered tubing for my Duo-Art
piano using a sharp knife as I have always done in the past. It takes
a bit of sawing to cut through the tube and the cut ends are not
really straight or neatly cut. In looking for a better way I decided
to try my guillotine-type PVC pipe cutter. Wow -- it worked amazingly
well!

I put the tube between the jaw and the cutter and squeezed the handles.
Pop! In almost no time the blade sliced through the tube with a very
nice smooth, straight cut. These cutters are available from Menards,
Lowes, etc., for just a few bucks. If I didn't have the cutters
already and knew how well they worked I would buy them just to do the
piano tubing.
