Story & Clark Reprotone Player Action
By Bob Stewart

Does anyone have information on the Reprotone player action made by
Story and Clark? It is in a Hampton upright piano from 1927. The only
thing that I can find different so far is that when you turn the lever
to "REPROTONE OFF" the last five treble and bass notes are cut-off from
playing.

I guess it is done that way so you could play reproducing rolls on the
88-note player without taping over the tracker bar holes. It seems
like a sales and marketing deal to me, but I am interested in other
opinions.
