Repairing Old Piano Rolls

Oh, wow -- this thread just jogged a lost memory synapse!  Some time
ago I tried soaking an old, frail roll with Scotchgard fabric spray.
Someone told me that it is actually liquid plastic, so I thought
I would see if it might restore strength to the paper.

Now I remember that I put it away somewhere and never tried it out
to see if the idea worked.  Now, I'm going to have to search through
my collection to find it.
