Market For Mechanical Musical Instruments
By Kevin McElhone

I have found the comments interesting, but none of the USA dealers,
who e-mailed me in January 2014 to tell me things had been thin for
the previous six months, have said anything yet...

To give an example, I have been helping people to sell Aeolian
Orchestrelles for the past 30 years; indeed, one year I helped to sell
ten, but none at all in the last 18 months.

A top-of-the range Model F Orchestrelle is currently for sale in the
UK. It has been on eBay already twice but no sensible offers have
been received, considering the hundreds of hours that have been spent
in fully restoring it. The organ may be seen at
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331250685701

I also want to clear out the last 150 of my original rolls and the
last 30 re-cut rolls at reduced prices.
