The topic has come up again!  Now, if all those roll scanners hoarding

their collections would make them available on paper, Yes, I'd pay for

them!



I've been droning on about custom laser recutting for about 16 years

now.  If someone could produce cut-to-order copies of standard 88-note,

Ampico and Duo-Art rolls this hobby would be revitalized.  Music rolls

are consumables.  Yes, copyrights are involved, but we've talking about

pennies a copy here.  Some of what we're talking about is in the public

domain.



I'd even go so far as to say that I'd be happy to re-spool a number

of selections if I had them all strung together on a sort of "Uber Ray

Siou Play-Rite" compilation reel.  The bottom line is that there are

some titles out there that are either unavailable as recuts or are

scarce as hen's teeth.  We need to address the issue immediately.



Good, restorable instruments and parts are available.  Supplies of

rolls?  Not so much.  Recut rolls are to our hobby as ethanol-free

gasoline is to vintage automobile enthusiasts.  There is a market --

someone needs to address it!
