Seek Music Scale for 29-Note Melodeon
By Christofer Noering

Hello! Some time ago, I acquired a Melodeon, that is, a barrel organ
with reeds, probably made by Spaethe of Gera, Reuss, Germany, in the
late 19th century. The instrument has a large wooden barrel pinned
with 6 tunes on a 29-note scale -- but all the reeds are gone.

I have tried to reconstruct the scale by studying the barrel (which
notes go into the final chords, which notes seem to be octaves, etc.)
and I also tried out one of my proposed scales testing with a vacuum
cleaner and brass organ reeds mounted upside down (or call it inside
out).

Is there anyone on the MMD having some hint or suggestion on a 29-note
(yes, twenty-nine) Melodeon scale?

Best regards,
