A new catalog of recut reproducing piano rolls was published earlier
this week by Richard Groman of Keystone Music Company.  Included are
more Duo-Art performances chosen by renowned pianist Josef Hofmann for
instructional use at the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.

In 1924 Hofmann was appointed head of the piano department of the newly
formed Curtis Institute and from 1927 was its director for just over

Among Hofmann's own performances are his 1919 Duo-Art recordings of
Chopin's "Scherzo No. 2 in B-Flat Minor, Op. 31" and Mendelssohn's
"Rondo Capriccioso Op. 14".
