Cheap Player Pianos
By Pat DeWitt

I am enjoying the thread about cheap player pianos. Here in Fort
Wayne, Indiana, we had the Packard Piano Company. They made nice
players and the pianos were reported to have a better "Eastern"
piano sound as compared to other Midwest brands.

Early in my piano collecting days I sold a late 1920s upright model
Packard Player (albeit unrestored) and have regretted it ever since.
I would be interested in other opinions about the Packard brand.
