Silicone Sheet for Valve Facings
By Nate Otto

In response to my recent post seeking advice on valves, a couple
folks mentioned using silicone sheeting as valve facing material.
With reliably airtight leather becoming more challenging to source,
not to mention the acid issues, this silicone product has me very
intrigued. I wanted to reach out to the greater community and see
what others who have worked with it have to say. A few questions
that come to mind are

1. Where have you sourced it?
2. What durometer do you prefer?
3. What are you using to adhere it?
4. Is it too "sticky" to slide-and-seal like leather would?

Thank you for brainstorming,
