1907 Welte-Mignon Kabinett at Morris Museum
By Jere Ryder

MMD followers might enjoy watching this YouTube video and hearing
Muriel Pollock perform Dancing The Jelly Roll, "live" at the Morris
Museum just a couple weeks ago.

Noted ragtime pianist Muriel Pollock recorded this 1914 Herman Paley
composition for the M. Welte & Sons who produced this roll through
their Poughkeepsie, New York, factory circa 1916.

Guinness Collection Curator Michele Marinelli and myself installed
this 1907 Welte-Mignon Kabinett (keyboard-less) piano in the
permanent Guinness Gallery just prior to our closing due to Covid-19.
Now re-opened, the museum is once again happy to share this fabulous
collection with visitors.
