Stanford Player Piano Project Software
By Alan Recce

Has anyone tried to compile and run the program(s) that Stanford
University has created to convert scanned piano roll files to MIDI?

I have contacted several people at Stanford but had no luck getting
support on the software. Here is the website:

https://github.com/pianoroll

Thanks,

[ Alan, I am a software developer with an interest in mechanical
[ musical instruments that dates back to the early 1970s. It turns
[ out that roll scanning is what got me interested in starting the
[ Mechanical Music Digest. There is a lot of interest on this topic
[ here so I hope you'll get some useful responses. The project web page
 [ is https://library.stanford.edu/projects/player-piano-project
