John Miller's breathtakingly complete piano box roll label maker
program distinguished itself chiefly with 600 DPI scans of very clean
label master images, within which he allowed users to insert custom
text using pleasing fonts.

His latest distribution can only run as a "16-bit" app on older
Microsoft OSes like Windows XP. I have only been able to run it as
such within a virtual machine, with plenty of attendant problems,
like printing, etc.

I note, however, that the world has moved on from 16-bit Windows, and
has since acquired splendid image manipulation tools, to the extent
that the piano label conversation has transitioned from "Who will make
my label?" to "Who has a fresh scan of a label which I can edit to my
own purposes?" The "Vintage Piano Roll Label Exchange" Facebook group
