Ann Arbor Canoe Livery Mechanical Instrument Collection
By Tim Athan

Until the late 'Sixties, there was a great collection of mechanical
musical instruments housed in a canoe livery in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Begun by William Saunders and continued by Jack Wirth, it included
a Coinola nickelodeon (made by Operator's Piano Co. of Chicago).

I write for the Ann Arbor Observer. I am trying to determine what
became of the collection. The canoe livery, located on the Huron River,
was demolished in 1970.

Thank you,
Tim Athan
