So don't use the Gmail client on a desktop computer. Use Thunderbird
or some other mail program. MMD is not filtered with Thunderbird.

 [ generated filter.  Many of the other ISPs are actually blocking the
 [ MMD entirely, some sending back "SPAM" or "Bounce" messages to our
 [ email service provider, thereby removing them from the subscription
 [ list.   Using Thunderbird (which I use a lot) is beyond the technical
 [ capabilities of most of our subscribers.  And using it effectively
 [ would require an email service provider that doesn't SPAM filter our
 [ messages.   I'm at my witt's end.  Sigh...   --Jody
