Hi Everyone, Just a note or two about the new QRS web site. First, in
order to view the on-line catalog, you must install and configure your
browser to handle .pdf files. That will require that you download and
install the Adobe Acrobat reader. The 'table type' file that is available
for viewing without Adobe is divided into 27 pages which total over 1.5
Secondly, there are a number of 'clickable graphics' that are not yet
available. Tom Dolan has told me that they will be up soon.
Thirdly, although I don't think for a moment that I am included in the
loop at Story & Clark, Pianomation or QRS, I can say with some assurance
that a few of the items offered at the site are still in the production
stage and are not readily available to the general public. This, of
course, will change as time passes, but if you want these new high-tech
items you may have to wait for them to be custom manufactured.
Finally, I think QRS was a little premature in announcing the site which
has taken them more than a year to get off the ground. I have written
more than a dozen letters to Florida begging them for an on-line catalog
since March of last year and I, for one, am disappointed with their
results. Frankly, it's more convenient to order the catalog from QRS
directly at 1-800-24-ROLLS and place the order over the phone.
Here's is plug for my site, which may not get included in this posting:
I offer a 15% discount on orders of ten or more rolls. QRS offers NO
discount regardless of the number of rolls ordered.
