Upcoming Release: TEMPOLA Player Rolls
By Andy Taylor

Well its time to introduce TEMPOLA player rolls. I have been working on
this project for months...

The first run of TEMPOLA rolls should be ready in about two months. They
are cut by one of the best perforators in the US. For now, Tempola is only
available in 88 note and no words due to copyright laws. (Plus stencil outfits
are hard to find)

The first issue of "Tempola" will be limited to seven or eight arrangements.
There will be two multi-tune rolls, including my arrangement of "Ching Chong
Man". T he rest will be single play rolls. All the arrangements are very upbeat.
The prices will vary from $9.95 to $16.95.

I started arranging rolls for BAM-BAM. Some of my first arrangements
included "Angel Kisses" and some rock music. When the owner Bill Jelen
told me that he was going to stop producing rolls, I decided to produce
some myself.

Bill had a leaky player piano, so I shot him a deal. I traded my restored
Lakeside player (my baby) for some computer equipment and his old player
piano.

The Cakewalk editing program is certainly better than the Exacto knife
and tape!!!!!

The Bam Bam arrangements played by me will still be available. The rest of
them will not. They belong to Bill Jelen and the people who arranged them.

For now Tempola is mainly for fun. I may try to get some other arrangers
later but for now all the numbers are by me, .with one exception, a roll
arranged by Chris my wife. (She doesn't know I am going to issue it!)
If you fancy yourself good at the piano, feel free to send me a MIDI file.
There are many pianists who can't seem to get the "big boys" to hear their
music (this includes me!!)

One of my arrangements can be found at John Tuttles home page

My thanks to John. I don't have a Web page yet but it's in the works.
