Music in TV Shows
By John A. Tuttle

Hi All, Although I've never seen the show 'Chicago Hope', I saw a clip
of an upcoming show in which the actors are singing and there is a player
piano accompaniment. All I could see of the instrument was the keys
moving and that it has a white finish.

I just love it when I see keys moving magically up and down, and am even
happier to see it in mainstream programming. (I'll bet it was a Yamaha
PianoDisc.)

Is it my imagination, or is music finding it's way back into television?
The producers claim it's risky and only time will tell if it will work.
Besides the Drew Carey Show, what are some of the other programs that
have recently used music successfully?

You folks in So. Calif. should know more about this than those of us on
the East Coast.

Musically,

John A. Tuttle
