Player Piano in 'Bullitt' Movie
By Brian Chesters

We have had some correspondence about mechanical music in films (movies
in USA, Pictures in the UK). Well, I recently watched Steve Mcqueen
in 'Bullitt' -- you know, cars and stuff.

And down in the basement of the hospital they were running around
in was a large upright player piano of typical American mission house
style. Why was it there? In a hospital? In the basement? I guess
the director didn't want it there, but the scene shifters couldn't
shift it.
