Chickering Duo-Art Grand
By Bob Taylor

After the merger of Aeolian and American Piano Co., traditional
pairings of reproducing systems and pianos changed. What is remarkable
about this piano is the lack of space to accommodate the mechanism.
Most hybrids seem to come from the very late years of production, after
the Duo Art expression box was totally re-engineered into a much
smaller package. In this case, the standard size Duo Art expression
box just barely fits the space available.

From the pictures, everything looks as it should. A close up of the
tracker bar would reveal the final details of authenticity.

The piano would be a nice addition to any collection, but the starting
price is a bit high.
