Unknown Player Mechanism

Hi All,

I need help identifying the player mechanism in a Werlein upright
player.  I posted a picture of the lower section, which is rather
unique, at the Player-Care website.  See:

According to the owner, the piano was made in 1922.  However, the system
looks older than that to me.
