Ampico A System Removed From Grand Piano

Craig Roothoff asked, "Is anyone actually going to encourage this
practice by buying this mechanism?"

I agree with your passion Craig, up to a point.  Even if you and
I would never gut an Ampico, it is his [the owners] instrument to
do with as he wishes.  But the Ampico system can be used in another
piano, and at least it will not go to the dump like many thousands
before.

The good thing is that with MMD we can find special things for players
that 20 years ago would be almost completely futile to search for.

Gimme a lemon, I'll make lemonade!
