1960s Aeolian Artist Clyde Ridge
By Pat DeWitt

Hi All, We all know that one of the drawbacks of piano rolls and
player pianos is that current ( or relatively recent) music is hard
to find. Also, in my opinion the recent 88-note musical arrangements
that QRS puts out (or did put out) leave something to be desired,
in that the sound is rather simplistic.

However, in a recent box of garage sale rolls (which also included 44
Ampico rolls) I found three 88-note Aeolian rolls, probably from the
1950's played by an artist named Clyde Ridge. The rolls are

  1066 Indiana
1499 Someone to Watch Over Me
1172 Love is a Many Splendored Thing

The arrangements are terrific! Does anyone know any thing about
Mr. Ridge, and are there more Aeolian rolls like this out there?
