Bonhams Mechanical Music Auction 14 November 2012

The fourth mechanical music auction at Bonhams for 2012 concludes
with the 14th November visit to Knightsbridge.  Over 70 lots from this
section will include a good selection of early gramophones, followed by
one of the best selections of singing bird boxes seen in recent years.

The top box in this section is the singing bird box commissioned by
Charles X, a real Royal Collection piece, with musical movement
combination in the gold and enamel case, two further gold singing birds
flank this lot and the ever-popular musical vertu pieces.  Among the
many cylinder musical boxes, a superb four-overture "Minor-Format"
Nicole Frères box takes centre stage.

Viewing starts on Sunday 11th November at just past 11 a.m.  The sale
